What does Home Halo do?

Home Halo has two parts to its business:

1.  HOME WATCH:  Home Halo watches homes while the owners are away, either for a year or for a day, just to make sure everything is okay.

2.  CONCIERGE SERVICE:  Home Halo coordinates services from lawns to docks, so when you come up to vacation,  you can relax in the hammocks.  

Why should I have Home Halo watch my home?

Home Halo can perform regular visits to an unoccupied home.  By doing this, it is often able to stop small problems before they become big ones or prevent problems altogether.  It can provide the homeowners with peace of mind that their valuable investment is being monitored by a professional and reliable company.  Home Halo can also make a home appear occupied, even though it is not.  Furthermore, Home Halo can handle all the service at your home while you relax, something that is particularly important to a vacation homeowner.  

I already have a security system.  Why do I need a home watch company?

Home Halo is an excellent complement to your security system in two ways:

1. Home Halo picks up where your security system stops.  Your security response center will call you or a key holder when your alarm is activated.  Home Halo can be listed as a key holder with your security company and respond to the alarm. 

2. Home Halo can monitor things that cannot be monitored electronically, such as mail piling up in your mailbox, trash cans sitting at the end of your driveway for days on end, or a tree over the roof of your home.  Home Halo can also make your home appear occupied by making tire tracks or footprints in the snow at your property or by rotating blinds or lights. 

I just have my neighbor watch my home.  Why should I pay someone to watch it?

If you have a neighbor who is truly happy to be watching your home, is insured in the event they fall or get hurt on your property, has a list of dependable vendors to service your home, and wants to respond to emergencies on your property at 3 a.m. (such as a security alarm), then you are lucky and should stick with that neighbor!  Otherwise, a company is a smarter choice.  Home Halo is insured, bonded, professional, experienced, and has a great relationship with many vendors who service homes in the area.  Home Halo's rates are reasonable and well worth the investment. 

I own a vacation home.  Will Home Halo watch my vacation home for me?

Home Halo specializes in watching vacation homes, but the company also watches permanent residential homes while the owners are away too, such as for a short vacation or a stay in a hospital.  However, the majority of Home Halo's customers are away from their homes six or more months out of the year.  Many of Home Halo's customers only visit the homes being watched a few weeks out of the year. 

What does Home Halo do besides watch homes?

Home Halo offers household concierge service.  This includes coordinating services for the home such as maid service or lawn care and meeting service people, such as plumbers, at the home when the owner cannot.  This also includes accepting deliveries, running household errands, or having fresh flowers available upon arrival.  

If Home Halo coordinates service for my home with another company, does it pay the bill for me too?

No. Most customers choose to use Home Halo because it is one of the few companies in the area doing this type of work that offers customers the choice to handle their own bills. Home Halo can do this because it is primarily a home watch company and that is how it makes a profit. Many customers just want Home Halo to watch their home when they are gone and never use the concierge service.
